Slovakia’s transportation system is efficient and affordable:

🚌 Buses: Buses connect all major cities and rural towns. They are often faster and more frequent than regional trains.

🚂 Trains: The national rail company ŽSR operates routes between cities like Bratislava, Košice, Poprad, and Trenčín. Trains are reliable and scenic, especially in mountainous regions.

🚗 Car Rental: Renting a car is ideal for exploring Slovakia’s countryside, castles, and remote mountain areas. Roads are generally in good condition. Traffic drives on the right-hand side, and an IDP is recommended if your license is not in Latin script.

Cards are widely accepted in cities, shops, and restaurants. However, carry some cash (in euros; €) for use in rural areas, markets, or small cafés.
